In this project, architects decided to reduce the cost of affordable student house by using a modular construction solution. The project was also able to provide the nearby college with 160 spots for student accommodation just within 14 months from the start of the design.
The five-story building was assembled on site using over 80 prefabricated boxes. The prefabricated part of the building stands on a concrete and steel plinth.
Although I could not find much more information on this project, I particularly liked it because the architects have shared some pictures of the construction process. In these pictures it is possible to see how easy, fast and clean the process is.
